I don't know what "Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide" is talking about. It's definitely not "unfunny" or a "weak comedy". Everyone else is right, it's not as good as Tommy Boy, but considering how much like a sequel it is, this would be an excellent sequel by any standard. Definitely a classic.

It was a decent movie but Tommy Boy was much funnier.
