Hayao Miyazaki showes great imagination. I loved the script and voices were perfectly chosen. The artwork was awe inspiring. The attention to detail is so beautifully done. You're able to see textures so fine you can almost feel it. It has action, romance, friendship, dedication, and lots of laughs,in just the right places. I found myself drawn in to the emotions of each character. I had to stop and remind myself that these were fictional characters. I would like there to be a sequel. I won't ruin the ending for you though. I just want to say " You've got to see this one." If you have kids or just are a kid at heart.

Lots of fun with no killing or death. Great dogfights with amazing backgrounds. If you have kids, rent it. I'm 42 and I enjoyed it as much as my boys.

A bounty hunting pig piloting against seaplane pirates over the post-WW1 Adriatic sea. It shouldn't make sense but it does. Porco Rosso was the feature presentation at our family's movie night. It was a big hit with the kids ages 5-9.
