If you know going in that this was Edward Burn's first move, or that it was done on a shoe string budget, you get a better appreciation of it. It overplays the Catholic card way too many times, but if you know about Burn's movies, that is a part of his neighborhood and that is what his movies are all about.

I thought it was very true to life and a good take on reality. It makes you really think about your own life. At times it did drag a bit but overall a good movie.

I just loved this film; it kept me laughing almost the whole way through... the dialogue was no punches pulled and nothing was withheld..that's the way I like these films of brotherly love and comments from them all. I was raised in the same way with two brothers and I know what its like when it comes to girlfriends and proposals, etc. Mike McGlone was especially real and funny compared to his role as a hood in "Dinner Rush". 31/2 stars!
