Adapted by screenwriter Rafael Yglesias from his own novel, Fearless explores the complex struggle back to mental health of post-traumatic stress disorder victim Max Klein (Jeff Bridges). One of few survivors of a fatal plane crash, Klein remains calm and assists other survivors out of the burning debris, earning praise as a hero by the media. After stoically departing the tragedy without a word to emergency officials, Max returns home with detached feelings towards his wife (Isabella Rossellini) and son, along with a bizarre, seemingly authentic belief that he is now impervious to harm. Bill Perlman (John Turturro), a psychiatrist for the airline, fails to reach Max about his newfound fearlessness, but asks for his help in aiding Carla (Best Supporting Actress Oscar nominee Rosie Perez), a fellow crash survivor filled with grief and guilt over the loss of her baby. In one of his earlier roles, Benicio del Toro plays a small part as Carla's boyfriend. ~ Lisa Kropiewnicki, Rovi

I'll never forget how this film moved me and made me think and feel the first time I saw it. I have seen it at least ten more times, usually with someone I care about or a co-worker. Almost all liked it. The acting is good. Bridges is at his best. I enjoy Rossellini's portrayal of his wife. As far as Perez goes, I never paid attention to her until this film. She is great here. You can't help but to feel her pain. The only thing at all that bothers me with this movie was the over-the-top slimy lawyer. If you are into special effects, you might enjoy the opening scene and the flashbacks of "the, umm, unfortunate, umm, ... crash." I wondered how they got away with apparently crashing a jet full of people to film it right. This is on my top 10 favorite movies list, and the first movie I ever bought a second copy of "just in case!" See it!

It went right into the movie and was hard to follow, you have a hard understanding as to why things are happening and who was doing what and where and why. I didn't enjoy this as much, it was misleading to me, not at all what I would have expected to be.

One of my favorite movies, great story, on my top 10 list. Jeff Bridges and Rosie Perez are great in their roles. Love Isabella as the wife also. I find the story very believable, could easily see myself reacting to a horrible ordeal like that like Max does. Have recommended this film to many friends and family.
