    This was a Good movie, however VERY difficult one to watch at many times, as it is VERY graphic of some of the treatment soldiers would do. I gave 3.5 stars as the acting was good, and the film itself minus the graphicness, is a good story line. Its made very realistically and well done. Just again Not for the weak hearted to watch as will rip you up inside, as, in a way, it should. But also then makes it a difficult film to watch. *Spoiler Alert* It also is of Life, and many times in life there is Little to NO happy endings, this film follows that truth, which also makes it difficult to see.

    I have always disliked Angelina Jolie and thought her talent overrated, but find I need to rethink that after seeing this film. It is the best movie I've seen in two years. Great acting, heart-wrenching love story and the most brutal and realistic example that war is, indeed, hell. The cast is made up of actors who actually lived through or remember the Bosnian war and it shows in their heart-breaking, emotional performances. These were characters you can really care about despite the differences in culture and language; the story is universal, Some of the deleted scenes soften the brutality of the Serbs and remind us that they, too, had a side. Mankind's ongoing inhumanity to man never ceases to amaze.

    Angie did a great job directing and writing this film. Although it's more based on a love story, it's very sad to know the kind of violence happened to these people in their community.
