****SPOILER ALERT!!****
I'm going to be the lone voice of dissension here since I really dislike the Deb character. Having her fall in love with her adoptive brother -- after her affair with his natural brother -- failed to suspend my disbelief. Perhaps it's not Dexter so much as she's attracted to serial killers? Worse, it smacked of incest since they were still raised in the emotional mindset of being siblings! As an unlikable character (to me), I felt that Deb got way too much screentime. The fact that the two actors playing Deb and Dexter were divorcing in real life was also an unfortunate distraction for me. Otherwise, it was a great storyline with the usual terrific acting!!
Season 6 of Dexter was even more dark and sinister than previous seasons. With each heart-pounding episode, it was more edge-of-your-seat than before. Michael C Hall is brilliant as Dexter. The storylines continue to confound imagination - where will it lead next?? In a macabre way Dexter is a hero. Definitely a series you never want to end. I thoroughly agree with Juia P's review in that I also felt the Deb-loves-Dexter scenario was unnecessary, not to mention creepy. I would not be disappointed if the Deb character was killed off as she is a very foul-mouthed annoying character!
