I LOVED this movie...I loved their banter, I loved the scenery....I thought it was a great concept for two grown men on a road trip through the north England countryside.

Maybe there should be a club for people who enjoy such offbeat, slice-of-life movies. Be sure to watch the cut scenes; I wish they'd left in the running gag about the wine in particular. Extreme silliness balanced with human pathos, both most real, made me look forward to a dose of some Coogan character-humor!

If you aren't familiar with Brit comedians/actors, and if you aren't a fan of Brit humor, you won't enjoy this movie. I liked it, because I thought it was interesting to see how two famous Brit actors/comedians feel about their "jobs." The bits about Coleridge and The Abbey and such are great side-dressing, but watching these two men come to grips with aging and just-out-of- grasp movie fame was a taste of something different for me. I laughed out loud---a lot. If you watch the "Bonus" feature, it is almost as long as the movie, and has its moments, too. Oh: And the fancy dishes/food served was highly entertaining. I learned something about tasting wine at the table, too.
