When I first watched the movie I had missed the beginning and viewed a scene where Knightley was on the throws mental agony exhibiting the facial contortions others mention. I too thought it ridiculous and simply bad acting. But when I restarted the movie and saw it from the beginning, it all madeperfect sense to me.I enjoyed this movie very very much and found the issues it depicted quite fascinating and intriguing. I think Mortensen and Fassbender were excellent in their roles. However, this is not a movie that most will appreciate in the manner I do.

I completely agree with Mr. C and Victoria B. This movie WAS just God-awful. It was sheer torture to watch Keira Knightly doing those contortions. And those FACES she kept making!! When I wasn't drawing away from the screen in horror, I found myself bursting into laughter every time she made one of those FACES! What small amount of story this movie told was uninteresting and the acting was horrible. I wish I had paid attention to the other reviewers that I read prior to watching this hot, gooey mess. Maybe you are smarter than I was and will leave this movie on the shelf.

Please let me rent this from you guys instead of another company! 99% of the times my movies come from you but I had to go the other company to get this movie? :(
