Santa's loyal, four-legged companion Paws enlists the aid of a fun-loving orphan and his faithful friends to help save Christmas after the jolly old soul from the North Pole is stricken with a bad case of amnesia. Dejected after learning that the children of the world have lost the Christmas spirit, Santa and Paws travel to New York City on a mission to spread holiday cheer. But somewhere along the way, Old Saint Nick loses his memory. As the big day draws near, Paws befriends bright-eyed orphan Quinn (Kaitlyn Maher), her pal Will (Madison Pettis), and some rather extraordinary dogs. Perhaps together, they can help Santa to remember his mission, and make this Christmas the best ever. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

I watched this movie (which is Rated G for the other poster who got it wrong) tonite 11/23/10 with my children ages 4 and 7. They all really enjoyed it but did have a couple moments when they were sad but let's just say all was good not to spoil anything for you. Much Much better than Santa Buddies which was okay since the kids liked it. If you have any concerns, please note that the acting and story is much better in "The Search for Santa Paws" than in Santa Buddies. The Search for Santa Paws also looks more like a feature film.

One of the finest kids Christmas movies. Not bad for dog loving adults, also. I am prejudice, I own 2 Great Pyrennes.

FOR PARENTS WITH YOUNG KIDS: I don't want to give away too much, but as a parent, I would like to know some of the sad stuff ahead of time. This movie deals with the death of Santa's friend, a foster home with kids whose parents have all died, a mean foster mom who burns the kids' favorite toys, Santa gets robbed and hit by a car, Santa's dog gets lost, and then Santa is sick and dying. While it ends very happy, it is a lot for younger viewers (my kids are 5 and 7).
