Joss Whedon helms another innovative TV series. This time a sci-fi action thriller starring Buffy/Angel alum Eliza Dushku. The Dollhouse is a secret organization that has the technology to wipe a person's memory and replace it with another personality via a high tech computer interface run by a geeky but likable genius dude. Dushku gets to act out a new character every week as the Dollhouse hires her out to clients to be whatever they want/need her to be whether that be a girl friend for the weekend or a body guard. Whedon's trademark hip dialogue and themes of redemption and free will abound.
This is a great sci-fi show. Desperate people contract to give up their own personality for five years. The dollhouse can program them with any personality, turning them into anyone they want. I loved the performances by the actors; several of them have to play multiple personalities. Please be aware: Violence and adult themes.
Both the 1st and 2nd season of Joss Whedon's show "Dollhouse" is amazing. The series never should have gotten canceled. I wish FOX had given it one more chance to catch on because I would have loved to see what more they could have done with the series if given the time. With the show lasting only 2 seasons, its pleasantly surprising how well the series was wrapped up. Everyone should see this show. Its action packed, funny, heart warming and heart breaking, mysterious. It truly is... or was everything Ive ever wanted in a TV series. 5 STARS!
