The movie's story is a little deep and intense. Frank Langella's character isn't developed enough. It left me with many questuons of why did he do what he did. Maybe I missed the point. Slow moving story, but marginly good.

I had to comment since the other reviewers both implied that the plot was too difficult to follow. If you normally watch only movies with the complexity of "Die Hard" you may need to watch it with a spouse or someone who can keep answering "what is he doing?", but I really enjoyed the movie and have recommended it to other who like intriguing movies. It is not really a thriller, because the main character chooses to do something at the beginning of the movie that he knows will provoke a hit on him in retribution. The entire movie he is just trying to set up his death on his own terms, not escape his death. The intriguing part is when the second character will figure it out, which will probably be later than you will, and filling in the details as the movie goes along. If this sounds boring to you, it's not your kind of movie.

The movie is intriguing to a point and, as always Frank Langella is excellent. One day, he will win an Oscar, for sure. The screenplay is so ambiguous, that one becomes bored trying to figure out what the writers intended. I think that at the core of the film is the concepts of "friendship" and in death, "no one wants to die alone". Interesting, but could have been much better.
