I am a HUGE fan of Jack Ketchum and I've seen his other two movies: The Lost and The Girl Next Door. Having read Red, I had high hopes for the movie. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. Red is about a man and his dog and what happens when some kids decide to have what they think is fun. It's also about what happens when you have to take the law into your own hands. Red is an emotion filled movie that will make you feel sadness, happiness, fear, anger, hatred, and then cheerful(if you're like me) when "justice" is served. I cried, I smiled, I felt like punching my tv screen, and I cheered, punching my fist in the air. If you want to see an amazingly beautiful movie that is well-written, well-acted, and well-directed, then Red is for you. It stars Brian Cox, Tom Sizemore, and Robert Englund has a bit part. This is one movie that I would recommend to all horror fans.

This was a pretty good revenge movie. Well acted, and very sensitive at times. The bad guys did a real good job--you really disliked them.

The movie "RED" is a sleeper. Calm and very collected, Red's owner goes about bringing sanity to an insane family and unwilling to help town. Tom Sizemore played a totally unacceptable father who after being told his son(s) were up to no good - denied their mean-spirited, murderous behavior. Slow-paced, I found the lead character's acting absolutely fascinating.
