A high profile Hollywood film producer becomes transfixed with a beautiful soap opera character who inexplicably emerges from his television set and beckons him to take one final shot at living life on his own terms. Black Racklin has all the respect, money, and success that one could hope for in life, yet despite all of this he remains emotionally suffocated by the pressures of his job. Each night when he closes his eyes, Black is haunted by dreams of a passing train, and a mysterious traveler who urges him to hop aboard - and each night Black fails to take that decisive leap. The only time that Black is able to find peace is when he's sitting at home and mindlessly channel-surfing, until one night when he comes across a bizarre soap opera. Bewitched by a beautiful character named Katherine, Black is dumbfounded when she magically appears in his living room and the two fall instantly in love.     Lots of kissing, lots of romance, some laughs, some tears. Yes! The actors were fun to watch. The leads, Nat Christian and Kim Oja make a hot pair. Christian also created this imaginative tale and very nicely put it up on the proverbial screen.

    CHANNELS was fully entertaining, romantically so, while it seduced me to consider some thought provoking ideas. The story - If you believe in something strong enough, can you make it real? This came from the vision of director and screenwriter, Nat Christian, who paints with a precise vision, taking us on the romantic journey. The "feel" of the movie plays is Helped along by a fabulous score by Rossano Galante, camera work by Michael Hardwick, production design by Dolores Piazza and VFX by Duane Condor. The two main characters are played by Christian and actress Kim Oja. Oja is a wonderful actress who shows much vulnerability that compliments her own great looks. Christian wonderfully portrays his role with seemingly simple, yet complex, nuances and subtleties. He is always truthful, natural and interesting to watch. The rest of the cast is also quite talented. And that includes Ed Asner, John Kassir, Joan Van Ark and Taylor Negron. I really liked it.

    CHANNELS, a movie about a bored to death guy, who meets a woman under an inexplicable circumstance, is beautifully told and comes across like a filmic poem. The "feeling" from movies that come to mind are "Der Himmel uber Berlin" (Wings of Desire) and "Il Postino." Writer-director, Nat Christian, paints a lyrical piece, rhythmically blending poignancy and comedy with his unique vision. Actress Kim Oja exudes a natural charm that compliments her beauty and she is exceptional as "Katherine." Christian, also the lead actor, is incredibly honest. A compelling presence, he trusts his instincts and delivers a characterization built on nuances and subtleties. Supporting roles are cast with highly talented actors, such as Ed Asner, Joan Van Ark, John Kassir and Taylor Negron. The "look" by cinematographer Michael Hardwick and production designer, Dolores Piazza helps with the romantic feel. The powerful musical score by Rossano Galante supplements the poetic nature
