I really enjoyed this movie. It is about two sisters. One writes romance stories for a magazine and uses her own relationships and her sister's relationships for inspiration and then fantasizes imaginary scenes, which become part of the movie, so that part is quite entertaining. Her sister is very serious and introspect - a cello player who lives with one man, but becomes attracted to another, which brings in more drama to the movie. There are also lovely scenes of Paris. Of course, it's a French film, so be prepared for the entire thing to be subtitled. But definitely a thumbs up!

i expected more of julie dep & espec marion but the uneven dialogue & surreal matte montages hurt any drama/pacing that might have occured had someone less self gratifying directed. i love french films but this did not come close to the fanciful amelie.
