Member Rating:
Truth or Dare is an outrageous, insightful, carefully controlled and (to non-fans) overlong documentary of singer Madonna's 1990 Blonde Ambition tour. Though much of the film is a paean to self-love and self-aggrandizement, we are permitted to see Madonna at her worst as well as her best. Just when the audience is on the verge of giving up the flamboyant vocalist as a bad job, she displays a sudden attack of sensitivity, such as her protective attitude towards a timid homosexual in her troupe. Among the many celebrities who poke their heads into the proceedings are Warren Beatty, Sandra Bernhard, and Kevin Costner, who makes the fatal error of coming backstage to tell Madonna that he thinks she's "neat." If you've had your fill of the Material Girl, take a look at the parody documentary starring MTV's Julie Brown, Medusa: Dare to Be Truthful. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

It was better than I expected. Madonna is actually funny & seems down to earth in this one.

Here's the TRUTH: I now know firmly in my mind why I never cared for Madonna's style of "artistic expression"...give me a break. What a self-serving piece of cr** this film was! I'm more a believer than ever what a shallow, selfish, superstar idgit she is. It literally cracks me up to find out Warren Beatty and her dated -- note: Warren Beatty has now been married for several years to the much more elegant Annette Bening!

For the first time a superstar gives you the inside look to what goes on behind the sceens. Madonna who is by far the most famous woman on Earth and an entertainment icon gets down and dirty and believe it or not she lets you see.. After watching Truth Or Dare don't for a minute think you know Madonna, most of it is clearly put on because she knows the cameras are rolling. But if you look hard enough you can shee Madonna is really a nice person with a big heart. She is a smart business woman and she is talented beyound your imagination. She is the female equlivant of Elvis. Madonna has suffered alot of loss in her childhood which molded this woman to be an attention seeker, its heartbreaking what she has actually been through and after this film, love her or hate her but I expect most will respect her. You get a glimp at what drives her so hard, the loss of her mother.
