Awsome Movie Love the section on the Hornet. I was aboard the Hornet this summer at the same dock in Alameda where the B-25s were loaded on board. The movie was very well depicted of the raid on Japan.

This is a great depiction of the Doolittle raid on Tokyo at the beginning of WWII. The cast is superb. The secondary story of a young wife left at home waiting for her husband's return has a parallel to our own situation today. This movie was made in the third year of WWII, probably to lift the spirits of those who were weary from the long war. A must see.

This movie accurately portrays the can-do attitude so vital to America's success in WW2. These men were heroes in the most elemental sense, and this film rightly casts them as the average, unassuming gents that they were. A job needed to be done, and despite the long odds, they risked their lives in doing something completely unexpected by both the enemy and the Home Front. The special effects hold up even to today's standards, and the ensemble acting is a joy to see. Break out your flag and wave it a little while seeing this film.
