This movie was not marketed very well, yet it still was a superbly acted. The period of this movie capures perfectly (I was living in in D.C.during this period) "Petey" Greene, his life career and "ouch" hairstyles and clothing. It was a tumultuous time in our country and for this particular part of the culture he; Petey Greene was quite revelent.

Why wasn't this movie more well known? I heard about it on Ebert and Roeper, and thought that I'd give it a shot. It exceeded my expectations! Great acting and an interesting story.

Great movie! Bio on the lives of 70s and rado's first shock jock, Petey Green & manager Dewey Hughes. Superb acting by all players and nobody, not even Cedric the Entertainer goes over the top. Loved the MoTown early R&B vignettes & being a radio person, thought it a great tribute to old time non-corporate radio before DJs got told (as they do now) WHAT to say and what not to say. Bring it back, is all I can say after seeing this! And WHEN is Don Cheadle going to get his Oscar??
