It's a shame as a fan of this series to see a watered down Saturday Morning version of this work. The character development and dialouge were such a disappointment compared to the graphic novel treatment. Marvel is know for its rich caharacters and complex relationships, and that was niticably missing from this film. In addition the animation lacked the artistry from the books. The target demographic for this work, the fans of the graphic novels, cannot help but be disappointed by this work.

I have to agree with a little of each of the reviews before me. Aliens were a poor choice for an antagonsist with soooo many better villians to choose from within the Avengers arsenal. Captain America did seem too young. I liked Nick Fury and his white hair stripes from when I was a kid and was dissapointed to see the new Nick Fury (that was changed within the UA comic). The second movie doesn't look to promising without Hawkeye and some of the other avengers I loved as a kid :(

I expected a little better from a full length film by Marvel. This is just slightly better than the X-men and Spider Man cartoons. The Hulk/Banner character is horrible. And the evil aliens plot line is seriously played out. The big climax battle against these aliens is such a let down, it makes you wonder why they wasted an hour's worth of story line to gather a group of superheros, when 1 would've been enough to send these wimpy aliens back to wherever they came from. And where were the aliens the 80 years that Captain America was frozen? Seriously weak, weak movie.
