    If you're a Beatle lover, this is a must. The acting was ok but the singing and music is excellent. Across the Universe takes us "old" hippies back in time, great trip.

    Usually I don't give movies credit for trying, but I enjoyed this movie in spite of its flaws. Really audacious; they were trying to do something original and there are a number of fantastic moments. The actors can really sing and some of the visuals are inspired. I kept wondering if it had been a musical for the stage first (almost certain it wasn't). On the downside, the female lead is a little bland compared to some of the other, more vibrant characters. And it's a little long – they cover a lot of ground. I'd say just sit back and take what you can from it. It's more like an experience than a movie.

    This movie was well crafted. The way the song fit in with the storylines was great. I love the Beatles they were a bit before my time but their music is timeless. The only part I didnt like was the Mr kite sequence but that was brief and went back to the main story. I must have collection for Beatle lovers.
