I liked the acting, but the movie was slow and bordering on confusion; you had to really watch it and pay attention to get it all.

Film version is somehow less compelling than the stage version, but still packs considerable wallop. Great acting and impeccable writing. Interesting choice to turn Wally Shawn's original male protagonist into a woman for the movie version--though Vanessa Redgrave, as always lives up to the challenge.
