Not as bad as others have said - not great, but certainly has it's merits and worth the watch - it was for me. Teeters between a real boo!..and being a psychological thriller.

An interesting examination of the tension between mental illness and the supernatural and the thin line between them. Connelly masterfully depicts the psychically damaged young woman while keeping a tenuous hold on her difficult reality. Reilly gives us a smarmy, soulless landlord par excellence. Worth a look; plenty of twists and turns, thrills and chills.

I love Jennifer Connelly and the overall acting was great. John C. Reilly almost stole the show as a scumbag apartment landlord. However, this is ultimately a horror movie and the scares were far and few between. It starts off slow and stays slow. A disappointment.
