First off this IS a foreign film but in english, it is NOT a big budget "Armageddon" type american blockbuster (which in this case IS a good thing). So if you get over expecting Red Planet or Mission to Mars level of efx and big name stars you might be very pleasantly surprised. But here is what I think made this a great space movie, by the very nature of its lower budget what you get is MORE realism less flash and I thought it handled the possibility of finding the remains of Intelligent life much more realistically than any big budget over flashy american film. So if you have an open mind and want to see a interesting (you have to watch it thru to the end) portrayal of Mars exploration give it a chance!

The film is very methodical in it approach. If it wasn't for some of the worst acting I have ever seen it might have actually been good. After about the first 15 mintues I started looking to see if this was a foreign film and all the voices were dubbed. The acting is actually that bad. Also, some of the "outside" shots of Mars look more like Montana than they do Mars. The story was not bad though. I have seen worse but I have also seen better.

Yeah, I couldn't watch it till the end. I don't stop movies often, but the acting just threw me off. They post dubbed the voices so that it sounds like they are reading their lines rather than actually saying them. Bottom line was it was not believable. I am not talking about the special effects or budget or anything. For me it wasn't worth investing my time.
