What's really scary about this movie is the way the boy's family went about their business as if they did not feel any remorse about the evil they were committing. To me the boy represents our own horror whenever we try to comprehend the evil in our world. Great movie.

This is America, which blends so many languages from all over the world. America doesn't mean intollerance to other languages. The negative reviewers should first learn to read English. Not understanding English may be just as much of an issue in a video store as online. The synopsis calls it a drama, which means despite a title saying scared, it is not a horror film. The title is also shown as "Lo Non Ho Paura", which is not English. That should be a clue that the movie may not be in English. The second may be the names of the cast. The third, and maybe the most obvious is that just above it states "Language: Italian". If you don't like foreign films, and you don't like drama, I would recommend you watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre or something. Otherwise, this is a good movie for you to try.
