In the early months of 2003, the PAX network was festooned with made-for-TV movies about brilliant scientists combating apocalyptic disasters. Exactly one week after the telecast of PAX's volcano flick Terror Peak, the network served up Paradise Virus, wherein beautiful virologist Dr. Linda Flemming (Melody Thomas Scott) must fight off the spread of a deadly virus while vacationing in the Caribbean resort of Barsarato Island. Making things personal is the fact that Linda's own son has already fallen victim to the epidemic.
