I added this to my queue expecting it to be just a cute little movie. My expectations were far exceeded, it was a cute poignant coming of age, sort of a-la-breakfast club with a newer set of people with more up to date issues. Full of talent, greatly acted, and its definately been added to my favorite list.

This movie had some good parts and some bad parts. It discussed deep issues about what its like to "not be normal", meaning anything that doesn't appear to be the social ideal norm. Some issues the teenagers and adults in the movie fought with were being fat, gay, autistic, black, a drunk, and feeling like a failure. The camp setting helped them feel like they belonged. The movie had some great music but while the issues were real I didn't like how they closed the movie. Most of the issues were still unresolved and it made parents of these kids look terrible. I do not think this is a good date movie.

This movie was great, it had real life issue and the singing was wounderful. I love this movie and can watch it a thousand more times.
