Synopsis of Familie
Willem van de Sande Bakhuyzen's Familie (Family) concerns itself with a family reunion. Because Els (Petra Laseur) is dying from cancer, her husband, Jan (Bram van der Vlugt), arranges a vacation for them as well as their daughter, Bibi (Marisa van Eyle); her author husband; their son, Nico (Mark Reitman); and his wife. They confront each other about unpleasant issues like Els' infidelity and Nico's bitter resentments about his childhood.
