i saw that movie very long time ago (and more than once), translated in Russian (my native language)and it was hilarious! Pierre Richard and Gerard Depardieu were paired up for a lot of great comedies - i recommend them all!

LA CHEVRE is one of the funniest French comedies I’ve seen with humor that easily translates to American audiences. A real treat with good performances by Gerard Depardieu and Pierre Richard. Worth a look.

I love Gerard Depardieu, so I rented this movie even though noone had reviewed it yet & it was pretty old. It was hilarious! Gerard is so young, slim and...blonde! He plays a detective who gets hired to go to South America to find his boss' daughter who is accident-prone. The company psychologist convinces the boss that the detective should take another accident-prone person to South America in order to follow the tracks of one accident prone person to find another. The gags are timed wonderfully & will keep you chuckling...especially when the accident-prone guy starts to get lucky, and Depardieu's character starts to get unlucky....worth reading the subtitles to watch!
