After violence is unleashed in the opening sequence, the story settles on former L.A. drug dealer Casey Wells (Thomas Jane), now a Houston architect living with his attractive wife Christine (Paula Marshall). When past partner Nick (Aaron Eckhart) arrives out of the blue on a Thursday, asking for a place to stay for a few days, Casey invites him in but later gets curious about Nick's briefcase. Watched it over ten times. The characters are well drawn and the plot is funny and serious at the same time. For a somewhat low budget film it has very high production values and fairly good acting. I love sharing this movie with everyone... and everyone has loved that I shared it with them.

The cast pops with electricity. I found myself pausing this movie...attempting to soak in what exactly just happened before I went on to the next pause. Utterly enjoyable. ACTION, LOVE, SEX, DRAMA, and it gives you just enough from each character to keep you on the edge of your seat. I think it explores the darker side of all of us...(EVIL LAUGH) MMMUUUUUUHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!!

One of the best movies I've seen. Loved it. Action, comedy, and blood. They even had the nerve to throw in a bit of a love story. I would recommend this movie to anyone 18 and over. Try the unrated version for a bit more "oomph"...
