The synopsis here threw me off--it is a "young some what naive teenager" that Alicia Silverstone portrays. It is a very good movie, held my attention. The start of the movie is a little weak--but get past that and it has a good plot, good actors--including Kevin Dillon. Has good twists. Two occurrences happen that made me stop and think, that might be overlooked by many. To me these two incidences told me who the serial killer was. Without appearing so--it was also a story of a family trying to cope with the loss of a parent and the surviving parent trying to raise the children alone in this day and age.
The movie lacks a really good plot but is good for a teenage thiller. If you are under 16 you'll like it, if your over 16 you'll need to watch with a some one who is to enjoy it. Alicia Silverstone is alright and Matt Dillon probably plays his weakest role ever but do you expect for a low budget thriller. Low budget+low quality+low expectations=a disappointing movie!
