On the typical morning of an otherwise ordinary day, however, the contents in room ten of the Sunshine Motel are suddenly transformed into indestructible objects of immeasurable value. There's a comb with the power to stop time when the user runs it through their hair, and a pair of glasses that can inhibit combustion anywhere in a twenty-yard radius. When Police Detective Joe Miller (Peter Krause) is given the most powerful of all the objects - the key to room ten - he is quickly targeted for death by the various cabals that seek to collect the objects; some of the cabals want to collect to objects to achieve their own nefarious means, others simply to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands. Things go from bad to worse for Detective Miller when his young daughter disappears in the room and he must race to solve the mystery of this strange phenomenon before he is caught in the crosshairs and his little girl disappears forever. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

In this sequel to 1985's Return of the Living Dead, a bunch of horny teens discover that their new designer drug is actually a chemical that turns humans into flesh-eating zombies. Unfortunately, they don't make this discovery until they're in the middle of an enormous outdoor dance party, where the wild costumes and chemically induced shenanigans make it difficult to tell who's a zombie and who's simply having a good time. Although it shares plot points, characters, actors, and crew with Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis, Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave features only a cameo from Peter Coyote, the sole bold-faced name from the previous film. Both movies were co-written by William Butler, who previously acted in 1990's Night of the Living Dead remake, among other horror films. ~ Brian J. Dillard, Rovi

A secret U.S. military strike force battles a vampire infestation in the South American jungle in this action/horror film commissioned for the SciFi cable network. Jessica Weaver (Lynda Carter) from sending army commando Hawk (Casper Van Dien) and his team to the rain forest, where entire villages are being overrun by bloodsucking fiends. Things get even trickier when Hawk finds out that his ex-wife, Laurie (Jennifer O'Dell) -- who is also Col. Weaver's niece -- is in the same region conducting scientific research. Grieves (Kevin Grevioux), Hawk's right-hand man, soon gets enlisted into the ranks of the undead. Add Anonymous Rex to Queue Add Anonymous Rex to top of Queue
Based on Casual Rex, one of a series of lighthearted fantasy novels by Eric Garcia, the made-for-cable Anonymous Rex would have us believe that not all dinosaurs were rendered exinct 65 million years ago. The survivors dinos had gone into hiding, gradually re-emerging in human form courtesy of a special holographic process. In fact, one out of every ten thousand "humans" is actually a well-assimilated dinosaur, and among these are a pair of private eyes: Ernie Watson (Daniel Baldwin) and Vincent Rubio (Sam Trammell), respectively a raptor and a triceratops. Hired to investigate the "accidental" death of the son of one of Ernie's old girlfriends, the two lizardy gumshoes stumble upon a cult called the Voice of Progress, comprised of fanatical dinosaurs who want to wipe out all humans and take over the world. Things take a serious turn when one of the two detectives is killed, and Ernie's daughter Gabrielle (Stephanie Nicole Lemelin) is kidnapped. Although the special effects are nothing to write home about, the film scores with its wry, knowing humor, likening the plight of the disguised dinos to those people in real life who must "pass" as something they're not (there's even a scene at a nocturnal dino club which looks more like a reptilian gay bar). Anonymous Rex debuted December 4, 2004 on the Sci-Fi Channel. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
