Strange things are happening to a handful of people lost in the woods in this offbeat horror film from Israeli filmmakers Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado. Tali (Liat Har Lev) has become trapped in a stretch of mine shaft that hasn't been used in years, and her brother Ofer (David Henry) is desperate to free her, in part for the sake of her safety and partly in fear of their parents learning their shocking secret. Tennis players Adi (Ania Bukstein) and Shir (Yael Grobglas) are en route to a match with Mike (Ran Danker) and Pini (Ofer Shechter) when a short cut goes wrong and they end up lost. Menashe (Menashe Noy) is a forest ranger who senses things are not quite right while talking his dog for a walk. And Dani (Lior Ashkenazi) and Yuval (Danny Geva) are a pair of clumsy police officers patrolling the area. Ofer flags down the tennis players for help, and before long the cops and the forest ranger show up. As this group of strangers try to deal with the immediate crisis, they soon discover a serial killer is on the loose, and deadly violence is appearing in unexpected places. Using the IP address from her computer, the friends discover the woman was corresponding with a handsome man and appears to have arranged to meet him at a large house on the outskirts of town. However, a visit to the house makes it clear things were not as they seem from the outside; the home belongs to a pair of aging political radicals who have a large cache of old, decaying dynamite and are putting it to use on a number of unsuspecting young women. Three bizarre tales of terror and eroticism are brought together in this thriller anthology. In House and Home, Richard (Luke de Lacey) and Victoria (Siubhan Harrison) are a couple whose marriage has gone sour, and the rare pleasure they derive from being together comes from a strange ritual they perform with unknowing and unwilling guests. However, when Richard invites a young homeless woman in for a meal and some spiritual counseling, he and Victoria find themselves in for far more than they expected. Mutant Tool stars Jodie Jameson as Jennifer, a former junkie and prostitute who is trying to stay off the streets with the help of her boyfriend Frank (Daniel Brocklebank). A doctor has prescribed Jennifer a special medication to help her deal with withdrawal, but the side effects seem almost worse than going cold turkey, and in time she learns the bizarre nature of the drug and how it's produced. And finally, Bitch concerns Pete (Tom Sawyer) and Claire (Kate Braithwaite), a couple whose relationship is defined by extreme S&M role-playing. Claire is the dominant partner and Pete is a willing bottom, but he's beginning to grow weary of Claire's treatment, and one night he turns the tables with startling results. In the wake of a heated murder trial, a young monk seeks refuge from a storm in a deserted burial tunnel, where a conversation with a poor man and a beggar reveals three distinctly different versions of the events leading up to the killing. A warlord has been murdered, and as the trial gets underway the testimonies of his wife, the bandit Singh Khan and a shaman with the power to call on the victim's spirit only serve to obscure the truth, rather than clarifying it. Deeply perplexed after hearing all of the testimonies, a young monk embarks on a journey to seek his father's counsel as a storm blows in. Fortunately for him, a nearby burial tunnel provides a place to rest until the storm has passed. In the process of seeking shelter, the monk crosses paths with a common man who also testified at the trial. Later, the two men are joined by an elderly beggar who engages them both in a heated discussion about the trial. Over the course of their conversation, the stories of the wife, the bandit, and the shaman are all recounted in great detail, revealing the personal agendas of all three. Later, as the stories draw to a close and the clouds begin to clear, the troubled young monk grows increasingly perplexed by the nature of the truth not only as it applies to the trial, but the very core of his belief system as well.
