Released in conjunction with the third feature film in the series, the Men in Black video game offers a mix of accessible action and lighthearted humor. The original story is inspired by the movies and comic books, and the play style is reminiscent of an arcade light gun shooter. Players don the dark glasses to move through on-rails action sequences, employing the latest in galactic technology to scan for disguised aliens, zap the memories from unwitting civilian eyewitnesses, and engage in sizzling sci-fi firefights against extraterrestrial ne'er-do-wells. ~ T.J. Activision Blizzard's top-selling first-person shooter franchise marches on with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Players must deal with the fallout from the devastating attacks on U.S. and British soil in a storyline that picks up where 2009's Modern Warfare 2 left off. The single-player campaign has you battling Russian ultranationalists, led by Vladimir Markov, as members of the U.S. Delta Force and British SAS. You'll battle across war-torn areas of New York City, London, Paris, Mogadishu, Dubai, and other regions as you prepare to end the global threat once and for all.

As with previous entries in the Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare 3's campaign features a heavily scripted, cinematic experience with Hollywood-style special effects. One new mission, for example, has you involved in underwater travel with a sonar-equipped submersible watercraft. You'll then fight inside an enemy-controlled submarine before guiding an inflatable raft across turbulent waters while a naval battle rages nearby. Other sequences have you firing mounted guns, driving vehicles, and more while explosions light up the landscape.

The Wii version of Modern Warfare 3 is developed by Treyarch, who ported Call of Duty: Black Ops to the system. Most of the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3 game's content is included, albeit with some changes or omissions due to the differences in technology. The Wii version once again supports the same motion-sensitive, point-and-shoot controls featured in earlier entries, but the online multiplayer component is limited to five-on-five battles and lacks kill cams, certain kill streaks, and other features of its console siblings. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

Conduit 2 is a direct sequel to Sega's well-received first-person shooter for Wii, picking up the story where the first game left off, and adding new weapons and armor as the enemy aliens become even more powerful and cunning. Now that the invasion is in full effect, players must travel to locations around the world, doing battle in England, Russia, China, and even the fabled Atlantis, as well as in Washington, D.C. As with the first game, multiplayer is a focus. Available modes allow same-screen play for up to four, in co-op, and online battles for as many as a dozen, in variations of genre-standards such as Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. Players can customize their in-game appearances and armaments before each fight.

Tables can be overturned to provide temporary cover, and pieces of armor can be shot away to expose vulnerable spots. The game features more than 20 different weapons, including special-use equipment such as guns that shoot through walls and remote-controlled turrets, which also add tactical considerations to the flashy, fast-paced firefights. Conduit 2 was created by High Voltage Software and runs on the studio's Quantum3 game engine, developed specifically for Wii. Unlike the original, the sequel supports the MotionPlus accessory, for more precise motion control and tracking. Wii gamers with a penchant for gunplay can aim and blast across 75 shooting galleries in Top Shot Arcade. Players head to 15 different locations around North America, firing at anything and everything that flies across the screen, including tin cans, cardboard cutouts, and live animals. Top Shot Arcade also includes 15 wild bonus games like "Tornado Toss-Up," "Trailer Trashin'," and "Animatronic Rampage." Players use their Wii Remote to shoot hordes of henchbots and take on the diabolical Captain Greasebeard in Pirate Blast. Gamers choose from five different weapons as they aim and fire at six different henchbots in the eight-chapter campaign. Ensure that dinosaurs large and small remain extinct in this gun-toting blaster from Zoo Games. Using your Wii Remote, Wii Zapper accessory, or the green gun peripheral included in the bundled version of the game, you'll need to point and fire at raptors, pterodactyls, Tyrannosaurs, and other dinosaurs before they swoop, claw, or bite. Test your aim with a single gun or approach the dinosaurs with two guns firing at once with the dual wield mode. Gamers take control of two highly trained soldiers as they shoot their way through the streets of a futuristic Moscow in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon. Soldiers Hibbard and Booth are separated from their Ghost team during a chaotic insertion in Russia, and players must rely on intelligence reports from the local militia as they fight their way through 30 intense missions from Norway to Moscow.

Gamers must use advanced tactics and real-world weaponry to combat a much larger opposition force, and as players progress through the game and rack up kills, they'll be able to unlock iconic characters from other Ghost Recon games, as well as characters from the Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six franchises. Ghost Recon was designed from the ground up as a co-op experience, allowing two gamers to engage in third-person action on the same screen, complete with the option to hop in or out of the action at any time; and the "Arcade" mode lets two players team up or go head-to-head in an attempt to get the highest score possible. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

GoldenEye 007 returns to a Nintendo console as an exclusive, updated version of the 1995 film. Featuring a slightly altered storyline written by screenwriter Bruce Feirstein, who co-wrote the film's screenplay, GoldenEye for Wii adds completely new levels, alternate locales, destructible environments, and even a new Bond: the original film's Pierce Brosnan is replaced by the likeness and voice of Daniel Craig. Each level can be played in different ways, depending on your style. Those who enjoy stealth can attempt to slink through areas unseen, while those who prefer a more direct approach can engage enemies with guns blazing. Bond will be able to use 25 different weapons in the game, from assault rifles and rocket launchers to proximity mines and smoke grenades.

Like the original GoldenEye on N64, multiplayer support is a key component. Eight classic Bond characters, such as Jaws and Oddjob, are playable across ten maps and three main game types. Matches can be further customized with a choice of 17 modifiers. Up to eight players can compete online, earning experience points to unlock gadgets, perks, and weapons, while up to four can challenge each other via split-screen display. Multiple controller configurations are supported as well, including the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, Classic Controller, GameCube controller, and even the Wii Zapper.
