This Hallmark Channel TV movie is one of a series starring John Larroquette as McBride (no first name), a hard-nosed cop turned compassionate defense lawyer, specializing in "lost causes." This time, McBride's client is Leo Eckert (David Bowe), who is convinced that he accidentally shot and killed his therapist George Prescott (Richard Fancy) after Prescott double-crossed him during Eckert's courtroom efforts to gain custody of his child. Rushing to the "murder scene", McBride finds that Prescott's body has disappeared--and in fact keeps on disappearing no matter where it turns up. Confronted with a plethora of suspects who like Eckert had more than enough reason to want the therapist dead, McBride comes to the conclusion that Eckert may have shot Prescott when the victim was already dead--then fine-tunes his conclusion a bit when it begins to look like Prescott may still be alive! Gigi Rice, who'd costarred with John Larroquette on the latter's eponymous sitcom of the early 1990s, make a significant guest appearance. Thanks to another of Moya's unexpected starbursts, Crichton (Ben Browder) is stranded in space while riding Farscape 1. Entering into the energy pull of the earthlike planet Acquira, Crichton at first enjoys his new home so much that he is reluctant to leave. By the time he realizes that Acquira is no paradise, Crichton's fellow crew members, D'Argo (Anthony Simcoe) and Rygel (Jonathan Hardy), have landed on the planet, where, as a result of a misunderstanding, Rygel is hailed as the long-anticipated Acquiran savior. Prince Mikos (Jeremy Angerson), the 16-year-old heir to the throne of an Asian kingdom, is targetted for assassination by his uncle Ki (James Shigeta). To cover his tracks, Ki has arranged for the murder to take place during Mikos' traditional "Test of Kings" ritual. The IMF shows up to make certain that Mikos --- or "Mike", as he is known to the agents --- is given a fair chance to complete the endurance test, and to expose Ki for the scoundrel that he is. Bejabbers! Sure an' some heathen has gone and stolen the Blarney Stone. Yes, Top O' the Morning is set in Ireland, or at least Hollywood's idea of Ireland. American detective Bing Crosby arrives on the Auld Sod to investigate the theft of the Stone, while the local constabulary, represented by Barry Fitzgerald (his third teaming with Crosby) and Hume Cronyn, assist Bing in his inquiries. Cronyn turns out to be the heavy of the piece, but Crosby is too busy romancing leading colleen Ann Blyth to concern himself. The "faith 'n' begorrah" business is spread a bit too thick in Top O' the Morning, but not as thick as Barry Fitzgerald's near-impenetrable brogue. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Mike Figgis' grim drama documents a romantic triangle of sorts involving prostitute Sera (Elisabeth Shue), failed Hollywood screenwriter Ben (Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage), and the constant flow of booze which he loves more dearly than life itself. Arriving in Las Vegas with the intention of drinking himself to death, Ben meets Sera, and they gradually begin falling for one another. From the outset, however, Ben warns Sera that no matter what, she can never ask him to quit drinking, a condition to which she grudgingly agrees. A darkly comic tragedy, Leaving Las Vegas charts the brief romantic convergence of two desperately needy people who together find a brief flicker of happiness. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi

Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman star as two terminally ill cancer patients who decide to break out of the hospital and live their last days to the fullest in director Rob Reiner's seriocomic road movie. Edward Cole (Nicholson) is a corporate billionaire who is currently sharing a hospital room with blue-collar mechanic Carter Chambers (Freeman). Though initially the pair seems to have nothing in common, conversation gradually reveals that both men have a long list of goals they wish to accomplish before they kick the bucket, and an unrealized desire to discover what kind of men they really are. But one can't accomplish such lofty objectives from the confines of a hospital bed, so now, in order to live their lives to the absolute fullest, Edward and Carter will have to make a break for it. With a checklist that includes playing the poker tables in Monte Carlo, consuming copious amounts of caviar, racing the fastest machines on four wheels, and much more, these two terminally ill men will do their best to fit a lifetime of experience into their last remaining days while forging an unlikely, but truly remarkable, friendship. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

The elderly owner of an aging but still beloved Catskill's landmark inn must decide whether to make necessary repairs to the hotel or to sell the land to developers. Meanwhile the owner's granddaughter toils in the hotel kitchen for the summer and the other staff members do their jobs.
