Mario Camús is most famous for two critically acclaimed films,
La Colmena/The Beehive (1982) and
Los Santos Inocentes/
The Holy Innocents (1983). A cinema buff from his college days as a law student, Camús entered the Escuela Oficial de Cinematografía in 1956. Following graduation in 1962 with his diploma short El Borracho/
