G-Thang Movies

Born Gary Johnson, G-Thang (his nickname) began his career as a stand-up comic, primarily dealing with urban-oriented and racially themed material. He distinguished himself, however, by avoiding much of the raunchiness that characterized his colleagues on the stand-up circuit and by delving into current affairs to a somewhat unusual degree. He projected a slightly hyper and reckless (though not manic) attitude on-stage and in interviews, which became a personal trademark. G-Thang transitioned to motion pictures with a role as Calvin in the no-holds-barred genre spoof Disaster Movie (2008) opposite Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi
