The fourth season of Kojak begins as Lt. Theo Kojak (Telly Savalas) of the NYPD is faced with a truly daunting personal crisis. Just before her birthday celebration Kojak's niece Lina (Donna Mitchell) is kidnapped by the friends of a man who has been jailed for killing a cop. Their demands are as simple as they are sinister: Release the cop-killer, or Lina dies.
