Phoebe Strole Movies

Stage and screen performer Phoebe Strole grew up in a Fort Worth, TX-area theatrical family as the granddaughter of an opera diva and the founder of the prestigious Casa Mañana theater. Strole gravitated magnetically to theatrical performance as a youngster, first with key roles in productions at Casa Mañana and then in summer stock, and later attended New York University's undergraduate program as a theater major, where she earned her B.A. and appeared in such collegiate productions as Myths and Fables and Weiners and Boobs. From NYU, it was only a short leap to Broadway stardom, and after reportedly auditioning for numerous productions, Strole debuted with an electrifying role as a sexually frustrated adolescent in the period rock musical Spring Awakening, the 2007 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. In terms of big- and small-screen work, Strole played Jennifer in the second and third seasons of the blockbuster F/X series Rescue Me, and then signed for the role of Epiphany Sellers in director Andrew Fleming's musical farce Hamlet 2. Her résumé also includes guest appearances on the series programs Stella and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

Tommy Gavin (Denis Leary) is a lifesaver. Whether he is pulling survivors from fiery high-rise infernos or the twisted steel of a subway collision, Gavin takes great pride in leading the heroic but often overwhelmed firefighters of New York City's Truck Company 62. Gavin is also a man drifting between sorrow and anger over a recent separation from his wife (Andrea Roth) and three kids, and recurring memories of comrades and New Yorkers fallen victim. Leary and multiple Emmy Award-winning writer-producer Peter Tolan ("The Larry Sanders Show, Murphy Brown"), the team behind the critically-acclaimed cop drama "The Job", have re-teamed as creators, writers and executive producers of RESCUE ME.
