A man is torn between love, responsibility and his dream for a better life in this independent drama. Andreas (Harold Torres) is a Mexican farmer who dreams of going to America and starting his life over again. However, Andreas can't get a visa to enter the country legally, and his attempts to sneak across the border haven't gone well; his latest attempt led to him being captured by immigration police and sent to Tijuana, far from his home. Biding his time until he can try again, Andreas gets a job at a grocery store run by Ela (Alice Leguna) and Asensio (Luis Cardenas). Ela is a tough boss but understanding of Andreas's situation, and they develop a genuine friendship, while he also finds himself drawn to Cata (Sonia Couoh), who was abandoned by her husband when he crossed into the United States and never came back for her. As Andreas becomes closer to Ela and particularly Cata, he's not sure of his future in a town when so many lives are dictated by what happens on the other side of the border.
