Well, it's been a while since Alice (Linda Lavin) has quit her job in a huff, so this episode makes up for lost time. Unfazed by Alice's departure, Mel replaces her with a robot waitress named Blanche (whose body is portrayed by Mitchel Young Evans, while her voice is provided June Whitley Taylor).
