Canadian actor Taylor Kitsch began his career as a model, signing with the agency IMG and moving to New York at the age of 21. As his career in front of the camera slowly but surely developed, Kitsch became a certified trainer and nutritionist. In 2006, his acting career had a breakthrough, and he was cast in the movies John Tucker Must Die and The Covenant, as well as the popular NBC series Friday Night Lights, a show based on the movie of the same name, about a small town in Texas where high-school football is among the most important things in life. He appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and had a major part in The Bang Bang Club in 2010. Four men with cameras put themselves in the middle of the action as a nation struggles to redefine itself in this drama based on a true story. In early 1990, Nelson Mandela was released from prison after the president of South Africa lifted the ban on the African National Congress, the anti-apartheid party Mandela helped found, and in 1994 he became the nation's new leader. The final years of apartheid, however, were a time of chaos, uprising, and violence, and for the press, covering it was not unlike covering a war. Greg Marinovich (Ryan Phillippe), Kevin Carter (Taylor Kitsch), Ken Oosterbroek (Frank Rautenbach), and Joao Silva (Neels Van Jaarsveld) were four photojournalists who dedicated themselves to capturing the images of the fight for freedom in South Africa, but while the men were serious about their craft, their determination had as much to do with the rush of confronting danger and the desire to impress those around them -- especially women -- as their commitment to the principles of journalism. The gruff, adamantium-clawed Marvel superhero Wolverine strikes out on his own in this X-Men spin-off starring series regular Hugh Jackman. Three teenagers two-timed by a local lothario decide to turn the tables on him in this romantic comedy.
