The detectives' investigation of a stabbing murder reveals that the victim, a derelict, served in Vietnam. Following the trail of clues, the authorities learn that the dead man was one of three soldiers who were involved in the same wartime incident. One of these three, a high-ranking municipal official, is clearly harboring an unpleasant secret. Originally scheduled to air on September 26, 2001, this episode was delayed until October 3. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

A private adoption racket is exposed when a woman claims that she fainted in a taxi and awoke to find baby missing. In the course of their investigation, detective Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Logan (Chris Noth) encounter all manner of human anguish and desperation. Particularly compelling are Debra Elkins (Angie Phillips), the woman who insists that her child was stolen, and Dorothy Baxter (Ann Dowd), who wants a baby at any price -- and never mind the consequences. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Scream for Help could be a failed horror spoof, or just a bad horror film -- either way, this story about a teenage daughter trying to convince the world that her cheating stepfather is out to kill her wealthy mother has its flaws. When the young teenager finally gets some proof that she is right, she and her mother are taken captive by the crazed stepfather, and a series of grisly murders results. With pompously dramatic music and acting that is over the edge, the story plays as tongue-in-cheek, until the blood and gore start to gush, turning anyone's stomach. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

In this undistinguished crime drama, Peter Coyote plays a thief on the run after an attempt to rob an armored car in upstate New York ends in the death of a little girl. Her father sends a hitman (Philip Sayer) to avenge her death, and the rest of the film is a long series of near-misses as the hitman chases the thief, until the latter ends up in England at the home of a friend whose wife owns an amusement park. But in this jet age, an ocean does not offer much of a barrier, and the chase continues on British soil. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
