The Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona mounted this 2004 production of Giuseppe Verdi's three-act 1851 opera Rigoletto, with a cast that includes Marcelo Álvarez as Il Duca di Mantova, Carlos Álvarez as Rigoletto, Inva Mula as Gilda, Julian Konstantinov as Sparafucile and Nino Suguladze as Maddalena. The Symphony Orchestra and Chorus of the Gran Teatre del Liceu provide added musical support, under the baton of Jesus-Lopez Cobos; José Luis Basso serves as chorus master.
