A former dancer whose sizzling moves alongside such musical icons as P. Diddy, Janet Jackson, and Ricky Martin found her well prepared to step into the spotlight on the big screen, brunette beauty Jenna Dewan lit up the stage with the best of them before making her screen debut as the vengeful Tamara in the supernatural thriller of the same name. It was on the small screen that Dewan would receive her first big break, with appearances in a variety of heavily-circulated music videos preceding a pair of early appearances on the television sitcoms Quintuplets and Joey. Intense in her spirituality despite her witchy onscreen debut, Dewan would get her first taste of success when tabloids began falsely speculating on a romance with fellow dancer Justin Timberlake. Easy to shrug off the rumors and quick to stay on her feet, it was Dewan's impressive footwork that landed her a subsequent role in the 2006 Antonio Banderas musical drama Take the Lead. Though Dewan's screen time may have been a bit brief in that particular effort, a role in the same year's dance romance Step Up found the rising star doing precisely that as she danced away juvenile delinquency alongside She's the Man's Channing Tatum in a role that truly allowed her to cut loose for the cameras. Dewan married her Step Up co-star Tatum in 2009 and the two went on to found their own production company, 33andOut Productions. A prudish college freshman finds her prim and proper reputation compromised after she's plied with alcohol by a deceptive classmate and caught baring it all for the popular video series "Chicks Go Crazy." Priscilla White (Jenna Dewan) is a college freshman on an abstinence scholarship. She'd never dream of giving up her virginity before marriage, but when local legend Natalie "The Naz" (Brianne Davis) tricks her into drinking alcohol, Prescilla's inhibitions fly out the window. After exposing herself for the "Girls Go Crazy" cameras, Prescilla realizes she risks losing it all for her one moment of bad judgment, and races to recover the tapes from sleazy producer Ed Kurtzman (Rob Schneider). Christian Slater comes back for another round of that old True Romance in this tale of two young lovers who set out on the lam after discovering a substantial cache of dirty money. Duke is a hapless Iraq War veteran who just can't seem to pull his life together after returning home. While his love for pretty girlfriend Amber runs deep, there seems to be something just beyond reach that's keeping him from making the transition from soldier to civilian. When Duke stumbles onto the scene of a botched drug deal and notices a large duffel bag overflowing with cash, he picks up Amber, stops off for a quick wedding, and hits the road with a bag full of bills and a beautiful new bride. At first it seems like nothing can stop this young couple from conquering the world, but someone is missing that money, and he's determined to get it back. Pollen (Slater) is a corrupt DEA agent who is willing to kill in order to reclaim the cash he believes is rightfully his, and chances are he'll slay this young couple even if they agree to give it back. An aspiring ballerina from a wealthy family learns some lessons about both dancing and life from a roughneck with soul in this teen drama. Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) grew up on the wrong side of the tracks in a rough section of Baltimore, and has been in and out of trouble with the law most of his life. Finding himself before the judge yet again, Tyler is sentenced to 200 hours of community service, and he ends up mopping floors at the Maryland School of the Arts. Tyler catches the eye of Nora (Jenna Dewan), a gifted ballet student who is trying to incorporate hip-hop moves into her classical routines. None of Nora's fellow students seem to be on the same page as her, but Tyler is a talented street dancer with strength, moves, and enthusiasm. Despite the misgivings of the school's administrators, Nora persuades Tyler to team up with her for a major class project. Tyler gains a new self-respect as he gives in to the discipline of the dance academy, but he wonders if this new opportunity means turning his back on who he really is. Matters become all the more complicated when Tyler and Nora realize they're falling in love. A teacher and his students open up new worlds for one another in this urban drama inspired by a true story. Pierre Dulaine (Antonio Banderas) is a prize-winning ballroom dancer and instructor from Manhattan who volunteers his services to a high school in one of the roughest neighborhoods in the Bronx. Principal Augustine James (Alfre Woodard) in turn gives Dulaine a tough assignment -- a detention class with some of the biggest troublemakers on campus. When the kids learn that Dulaine intends to teach them how to dance in the classic style, they're incredulous at best and dismissive at worst -- until Dulaine demonstrates his moves for the class. While Dulaine's charges -- including Rock (Rob Brown), LaRhette (Yaya DaCosta), Ramos (Dante Basco), Eddie (Marcus T. Paulk), and Sasha (Jenna Dewan) -- respect his talent, they have their own way of dancing, and as they mix hip-hop moves with ballroom discipline, they create an exciting new style. Dulaine also strives to instill self-confidence and a work ethic in his kids, insisting they can make their way out of the ghetto if they're willing to try.
