Divided by the same family tragedy that once bonded them closer than ever before, two grown siblings left with numerous unanswered questions regarding their mother's murder struggle to find a common ground after the daughter of one is badly injured in a horrific farming accident. Marian and her younger sister Hanna were forever scarred when, one fateful night twenty years ago, their mother was murdered under mysterious circumstances. In the aftermath of the murder, Marian remained in the Mennonite farming community where the pair were raised, giving birth to a little girl as Hanna departed for Chicago to launch her writing career. One day, when Marian's six year old daughter Rebecca is injured in a terrible farming accident, Hanna returns home intending to help her sister and niece. But the ghosts of the past still linger strong in this shattered home, and now as the sisters attempt to take in the tragedy and find a way of paying the medical bills, they quickly come to realize just how far they have grown apart throughout the years. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

The fifth film in a series based on the best-selling novels of Scandinavian author Jan Guillou, Hamilton follows the exploits of Swedish super-agent Carl Hamilton and stars Mark Hamill as the villain. The CIA discovers a stolen missile being routed through the Arctic by Russian rebels. Since they plan to smuggle it into Sweden, the Swedish secret service is called in. After Hamilton (Peter Stormare) and his men kill the smugglers, Hamilton realizes it was a set-up, since another missile went into Sweden. He follows the trail to Murmansk where he meets ex-CIA operative Mike Hawkins (Hamill) -- and the search continues in Stockholm, and Washington, before the final confrontation in Libya. This 127-minute feature was trimmed down from a four-part TV miniseries. ~ Bhob Stewart, Rovi

Based on the popular novels about that other suave, globe-trotting man of action, this genre picture from director Phillip Noyce mixed romance and character development with dangerous stunts, geopolitical intrigue, and a variety of elaborate disguises, resulting in an uneven stew of a spy thriller. Val Kilmer is Simon Templar, a classy, cunning master thief and "man of a thousand faces" who cribs his phony names from those of obscure saints and sells his illegal services to the highest bidder. Hired by an ambitious Russian politician (Rade Serbedzija) to steal the formula for cold fusion, Templar falls in love with Dr. Emma Russell (Elisabeth Shue), the frail Oxford scientist who has unlocked the secret of the process. Back in Moscow, the thief debates whether to betray his new love or the powerful madman who is paying him millions, until he discovers that his client is concealing oil reserves that could save his freezing people. Often seen as an also-ran to the legendary James Bond, Templar, the creation of author Leslie Charteris, in fact predated the first Bond novel by decades and probably inspired Ian Fleming in his creation of the debonair agent. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi

The made-for-cable film Stalin relates the story of the ruthless Soviet dictator and his tyrannical rule. Robert Duvall gives an excellent performance as the dictator and the photography is beautiful, as are the sets, since much of the movie was shot on location in Russia. The screenplay also does a good job of detailing Stalin's aggression, not only on his citizens, but also his young wife (Julia Ormand). Nevertheless, the story is very detailed and viewers need to pay close attention in order to make the film a rewarding experience. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
