The 1970s reality TV series Battle of the Network Stars was revived for this one-shot NBC special, which served as the pilot for a "new" version of the old favorite. Taped at the Squaw Creek Resort near Lake Tahoe, CA, the two-hour special was hosted by Tony Potts, with two Olympic Gold Medalists serving as captains for the celebrity teams. Among those participating in a wide variety of water, land, and air sports were Ali Landry, Dondre Whitfield, Rena Sofer, Neil Flynn, Justin Long, Mario Lopez, Brooke Burns, Drake Hogestyn, Ross Matthews, and Amelia Marshall. (If these names don't sound familiar, it is probably because most of the stars chosen for the special appeared on TV series that had recently been canceled!) The winning team turned all of its earnings over to charity, just as in the original Battle of the Network Stars. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

After a teenager is killed in a robbery, Hunter (Fred Dryer) discovers that the kid was working for his old enemy Hector "El Gallo" Rivas (Trinidad Silvas). Determined to circumvent the law, El Gallo has assembled a gang of teens who are too young to prosecute as adults to do his dirty work. Secure in the knowledge that they'll beat any rap imposed upon them, the kids are willing to commit murder on behalf of El Gallo--and it is this aspect of the case that nearly pushes Hunter off the deep end. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
