This violent martial-arts film features a galaxy of the blaxploitation genre's best known stars, including Jim Kelly (Black Eliminator) in his final role. Richard Roundtree stars as a tournament promoter who gets shaken down by an evil gangster (Joe Spinell) and must call on his three friends (Kelly, Fred Williamson and Jim Brown) for help. Kelly is the "one down" of the title, as he gets put into a coma fairly early in the proceedings. The usual murder and mayhem ensues, and fans of gritty low-budget action films should be pleased with both the cast and Williamson's crowd-pleasing direction. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide

Kill Factor was originally released as Death Dimension. Either way, the audience was hep to the fact that it wasn't a Disney picture. The presence of onetime James Bond George Lazenby and Harold "Oddjob" Sakata in the cast was enough to give this one away as a spy picture. And a spy picture it was, with the extra added dimension of kung-fu and karate, courtesy of top-billed Jim Kelly. Jim Brown and Fred Williamson team up for this violent western, directed by Antonio Marghetti under the name of Anthony M. Dawson. Brown plays Pike, a stonefaced cowboy who meets up Tyree (Fred Williamson), a jocular and dishonest gambler. Together with a mute Indian scout Kashtok (Jim Kelly), the trio attempts to transport $86,000 across hundreds of miles of Western wasteland to deliver it to the widow of Pike's former employer. Along the way, they are pursued by bounty hunter Kiefer (Lee Van Cleef) and corrupt sheriff Kane (Barry Sullivan). This Italian film was made for the blaxploitation action niche, but sloppy dubbing and unintentionally funny dialogue kept it from packing the kind of action punch needed for box-office success. Father Charlie (Lino Venturi) is an ex-con who has been granted an exemption from canon law to become a priest. When a friend of his gets into trouble which looks suspiciously like a frame-up, Father Charlie decides to investigate, with or without the blessing of his bishop. His friend Lee Stevens (Isaac Hayes) is looking for the real culprit as well, and Father Charlie and Lee soon join forces. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide

One of the most popular kung fu films ever, and perhaps the peak of the famed Bruce Lee's career, Enter the Dragon achieved success by presenting a series of superbly staged fighting sequences with a minimum of distractions. The story finds Lee as a martial-arts expert determined to help capture the narcotics dealer whose gang was responsible for his sister's death. This evil villain operates from a fortified island manned by a team of crack martial artists, who also host a kung fu competition. Lee uses his skills to enter the contest and then tries to chop, kick, and otherwise fight his way into the dealer's headquarter. The story is, of course, merely an excuse for showdown after showdown, featuring masterly fighting by Lee in a wide variety of martial arts styles. Essential viewing for martial arts fans, the film was also embraced by a larger audience, thanks to a fast pace and higher-than-usual production values. ~ Judd Blaise, All Movie Guide

The Pig (Harold Sakata) is an international crime lord who has commissioned the creation of a lethal "freeze bomb," which he plans on auctioning off to the highest bidder. Dr. Mason (T.E. Forman) is appalled; he intended his climate control device to be used to eliminate droughts. He sabotages the operation, destroying his files and condensing all the data into a microdot which he implants in the forehead of his assistant, Felicia (Terry Moore). When Mason turns up dead and Felicia is kidnapped, it's up to karate-kicking detective John Ash (Jim Kelly) to investigate. With his partner, Li (Myron Bruce Lee), Ash infiltrates the Pig's cathouse hideout and finds the girl, though the sadistic villain has already cut the microdot out of her skin and escaped to the mountains via ski lift. While Li cleans up some police corruption they've discovered in the Pig's organization, Ash pursues his quarry until he can exact justice with lethal martial artistry and an airplane crash. ~ Fred Beldin, All Movie Guide
