First time feature filmmaker Tracy D. Smith takes the helm for this spirited romantic comedy concerning a single sex toy party organizer who faces increasing pressure from her ailing father to settle down and find a man. Tammy (Sarah-Jane Redmond) may be single, but she's happy that way. She loves her job as much as her freedom, but her father Burt (Gary Chalk) has just fallen severely ill, and he wants to know that his little girl will be well cared for after he is gone. When Tammy moves home to care for her dad, Burt takes advantage of the situation by setting her up with the handsome vice president of his successful company. But while the successful businessman appears to be the ideal marriage candidate in Burt's eyes, the truth is that the vice president has is far more interested in Tammy's openly gay brother Tristan than he is in the president's daughter. As it turns out, Tristan too has been struggling to gain Burt's approval due to the fact that the picky patriarch has deemed his current boyfriend Lucas unacceptable. When Burt makes the decree that no one can date his son until his daughter finds a suitable mate, the desperate Tristan quickly determines to set Tammy up with handsome ex-boxer and aspiring songwriter Sy (Aleks Paunovic). Of course Tristan isn't above offering a little bribery to speed love along, and in order to convince Sy to pursue his sister, the scheming brother offers musically inclined ex-pugilist an opportunity to sing his original, yet abhorrently awful, songs at a popular local bar. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Based on a comic book series created by Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti, the made-for-cable Painkiller Jane stars Emmanuelle Vaugier as Jane Elizabeth Browning, a young Marine captain who is the sole survivor when her Special Ops force is exposed to a biochemical "retrovirus" weapon after raiding an illegal lab. It turns out that the retrovirus has endowed Jane with miraculous self-healing powers, making her virtually invulnerable. Unfortunately, she isn't given much of an opportunity to exercise this unique gift before she is locked up in a military hospital on orders from government shrink Lucas Knight (Tate Donovan). Unwilling to act as guinea pig for an upcoming series of medical experiments, Jane escapes her confines and becomes a fugitive, not only from the government but also from a secret conspiratorial cartel which numbers Dr. Knight (aka Lucas Insley) among its members! She spends the rest of the film thwarting villains and writing wrongs (usually in Bionic Woman-style slow motion action scenes), with the help of her new cohort, handsome thief Nick (Eric Dane). Former Shaft star Richard Roundtree is seen as Jane's Marine mentor Col. Watts, who reluctantly assumes the "Inspector Javert" role in tracking her down on behalf of the authorties. Billed as an "original event" when it first aired December 9, 2005 on the Sci-Fi Channel, the entertaining but highly derivative Painkiller Jane has "two-hour series pilot" written all over it. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi

Based on Brian Cruver's first-person book, Anatomy of Greed, this strident TV movie chronicles the rise and fall of the notorious Houston-based Enron Corporation in the early years of the 21st century. The film is related from the perspective of Cruver himself (played by Christian Kane), here depicted as a brilliant but naïve young trader who, after being hired by Enron, was dazzled and seduced by the company's "get rich quick by whatever means necessary" credo. The obscenely extravagant "Enron Culture" (represented by endless office parties and nubile young ladies) was built upon the backs of the company's stockholders and lower-echelon employees -- and, when everything inevitably crashed and burned in the spring of 2002, it was the "little people" who suffered the most. Although several real-life personalities are portrayed in the film, among them Enron CEO Ken Lay (played Mike Farrell), executive Jeff Skilling (Jon Ted Wynne), and conscience-stricken whistleblower Sherron Watkins (Jan Skene), many of the characters are composites, chief among them the mysterious, sinister Enron higher-up "Mister Blue" (Brian Dennehy), whose primary function is to spout blatantly mercenary exposition. Due to budget restraints, The Crooked E: The Unshredded Truth About Enron was filmed not in Houston but in Canada; and thanks to copyright restrictions, the company's famous "slanted E" logo is considerably altered onscreen. The film made its CBS debut on January 5, 2003. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
