A disgraced former ping pong champion is drawn back into the world of high-stakes table tennis to carry out a top-secret mission in the feature directorial debut of Reno 911! writer/director Ben Garant. Far removed from the rigidly regulated world of professional sports, clandestine ping pong tournaments offer thrilling competition where only the strong survive. There was a time when the mere mention of the name Randy Daytona (Dan Fogler) was enough to make even those most hardened ping pong player cower in fear, but these days Randy has fallen out of favor with ping-pong fans. The former champ soon receives a much-needed shot at redemption, however, when he is recruited by a determined FBI agent named Rodriguez (George Lopez) to win a coveted spot in the upcoming underground table tennis tournament and ferret out the nefarious Feng (Christopher Walken), whose thriving criminal empire has transformed him into a true menace to society. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Tim Allen returns as a regular guy-turned-Jolly Old Elf in the second sequel to the 1994 hit The Santa Clause. Scott Calvin (Tim Allen), who doubles as Santa Claus, has settled into his home at the North Pole with his new wife, Carol (Elizabeth Mitchell), and is preparing for another Christmas when he receives a visitor -- Jack Frost (Martin Short), the cold-weather sprite who has been sent to help out St. Nick by Mother Nature (Aisha Tyler) and Father Time (Peter Boyle) after making a scene at a meeting of the Council of Legendary Figures. However, while Jack is supposed to acting as an assistant to Santa, he has a habit of making things go haywire, and as it happens this is no mistake -- Jack is hoping that an exasperated Santa will quit his position so Jack can take over and finally have a holiday he can bend to his will. Meanwhile, Scott has invited Carol's parents, Bud (Alan Arkin) and Sylvia (Ann-Margaret), over for a long-promised visit, but since he needs to keep his other identity a secret, he and his elves are forced to go to great lengths to convince them that they're actually in Northern Canada. Season four of the wildly successful "real-time" adventure series 24 begins some 18 months at the end of season three. John Keeler (Geoff Pierson) has succeeded David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) as president of the United States, and the new secretary of defense is James Heller (William Devane) -- who is also the new boss of crack CTU agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland). One of Heller's first moves is to reunite Jack with his old nemesis Erin Driscoll (Alberta Watson), now the head of the CTU. Unbeknownst to most of the principal characters, Jack is in love with Heller's daughter (and policy assistant), Audrey Raines (Kim Raver), this despite the fact that Audrey is still legally married to estranged husband, Paul (James Frain). Outside of Jack Bauer and President Keeler, the only series character from season three to return as a regular in season four is CTU tech analyst Chloe O'Brien (Mary Lynn Rajskub); the rest of the cast is virtually brand-new. The "day" that comprises the fourth season begins, typically, with a nail-biting crisis, when James Heller and his daughter Audrey are captured by a terrorist group headed by Habib Marwan (Arnold Vosloo), who has already set a fiendish master plan in motion with a train bombing in the U.S. It soon develops that the abduction of Heller and Audrey is but a subterfuge to allow an enemy stealth bomber to blow up Air Force One and eliminate the president -- and ultimately to gain control of a nuclear warhead that will destroy a major U.S. city. Making matters worse, there is a turncoat in the ranks of the CTU -- and without giving the game away, it can be noted that CTU agent Sarah Gavin (Lana Parrilla) tumbles to the mole's identity before Jack Bauer does. As the tension mounts, Paul Raines is seriously wounded saving Jack during a covert mission, which "ices" Jack's relationship with Audrey; a shattering personal tragedy forces Erin Driscoll to resign from her post in mid-season; there is dissension in the terrorist ranks during a concerted effort to trigger nuclear meltdowns in six different cities; the seldom-used 25th Amendment is invoked to change presidents in midstream; and an old enemy of Jack's from the series' first two seasons appears virtually out of nowhere to make a terrible situation far worse than could ever be imagined. Clearly, the fourth season of 24 drew inspiration from the headlines of the day, notably the controversial treatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib. The series also was attacked by certain special-interest groups for making several of the villains Arabs, or of Arab descent. And of course, there were those who carped that the series' notion of "real time" (each episode consisted of a single uninterrupted hour in the same day) resulted in some rather ludicrous lapses of logic. But 24 was as big a hit in the ratings throughout its fourth season as it had been all along. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Enlisted as babysitter for little Emma, Amy proves to be the worst possible choice for the job when she gets the infant's ears pierced. Meanwhile, Joey (Matt LeBlanc) pores over a thesaurus while trying to write a persuasive letter to the adoption agency on behalf of Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox); and Mike's (Paul Rudd) efforts to propose to Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) are spoiled...by Phoebe. In the concluding half of Friends' ninth-season finale (originally telecast as a single, 75-minute "special"), Joey (Matt LeBlanc) is shocked by Rachel's (Jennifer Aniston) declaration of love during a trip to Barbados. Under any other circumstances, Joey would be delighted, but in this instance he doesn't want to hurt Ross (David Schwimmer), who after all is the father of Rachel's baby. All this changes, however, when Joey catches Ross locked in a hot embrace with Charlie (Aisha Tyler), starting a chain reaction of events which ends in the kiss heard round the world. But before this season-ending cliffhanger transpires, Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) must choose between two suitors, one of whom is currently embroiled in a cutthroat game of ping-pong with Monica (Courteney Cox). ~ All Movie Guide

Complicating matters is the confused state of mind of Ross' erstwhile girlfriend Charlie (Aisha Tyler). Meanwhile, Phoebe's half-brother, Frank Jr. (Giovanni Ribisi), pays a visit with the triplets borne by surrogate mom Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) in tow, the better to make a curious offer. And Chandler (Matthew Perry) sticks his foot in it when he lets slips the fact that a youngster of his acquaintance was adopted. ~ All Movie Guide

Alas, when Ross invites Charlie to attend a wrap party for Days of Our Lives, she meets his actor pal, Joey (Matt LeBlanc), and it looks as though Ross is about to be shot down in the romance wars once more. Attending the same party is Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), whose efforts to overcome her feelings for Joey are aided and abetted by a brace of Joey's handsome co-stars, Kyle Lowder and Matthew Ashford (playing themselves). Meanwhile, Chandler (Matthew Perry) must endure the slings and arrows of an extremely vitriolic performance artist (played by Alex Borstein, the voice of Lois Griffin on the animated series Family Guy). ~ All Movie Guide

Their visit to the testing clinic was supposed to have been a secret, but....Meanwhile, Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) risks hurting Phoebe's feelings by accepting a free massage at one of the corporately owned parlors that threaten to drive Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) out of business.
