Madeleine Lewis, a seasoned aerobics instructor and choreographer of countless cardio workout programs, fuses traditional aerobics with fitness walking techniques in Get Moving! Walking for Weight Loss. Sensitive to the knowledge that many women find it difficult to work a regular exercise regimen into their daily routines and thus avoid cardio altogether, Lewis demonstrates that three ten-minute workouts tone and sculpt the body as much as one thirty-minute workout (and offer the same physiological advantages); she uses this knowledge as the basis for the scheduling suggested in this program, which proposes four ten-minute workouts as the equivalent of one forty-minute regimen. Moreover, Lewis introduces viewers to three distinct ways of doing each workout, and works in a ten-minute cool-down routine. Editor's Note: Get Moving! Walking for Weight Loss has been recently repackaged and reissued by Gaiam, Inc. as Cardio Burn, as verified by the label. ~ Nathan Southern, Rovi

AM/PM Stretch For Health incorporates the benefits of stretching into two sessions. The morning workout is designed to provide motivation and energy for the day ahead, while the evening workout, featuring stretches of a more strenuous nature, is geared towards meditation and aims to remove the physical and mental stress accumulated over a hard day's work. The overall goals of AM/PM Stretch For Health are restoring one's natural flexibility, strengthening the core muscle groups, and significantly improving balance and posture, as well as providing an overall sense of well being. Both sessions are instructed by fitness expert Madeleine Lewis. ~ Tracie Cooper, Rovi

This is an excellent workout for pregnant women who have received their doctors' permission to exercise while waiting to deliver or when trying to lose weight after giving birth. This video is thought by many to be safe since it has been reviewed by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. Instructor Madeleine Lewis provides special exercises that last about ten minutes each for the legs, buns, and abs after a brief warm-up done standing up. All toning work is done using a chair. Squats and leg lifts are also demonstrated. Though the music isn't very good, the workout is still a very popular one with many women. Special instructions are provided so that the viewer can be sure she is doing the exercises in the safest way possible. The purposeful lack of basic aerobic activities helps protect everyone.

The four, 10-minute segments presented in this video help target many of the most problematic weight gain areas for women who have recently given birth. After the warm-up, muscle groups in the buns, legs and abdominal region are repeatedly targeted by these routines. Madeleine Lewis provides helpful instructions to be sure that these exercises don't compromise anyone's vulnerable areas. Since new mothers constantly need to check on their babies, the short segments make it easy to stop and start this video, as time allows. The routines are particularly helpful in providing the viewer with stretching movements performed in a gentle fashion. ~ Elizabeth Smith, Rovi
