When a young witch from a remote village in northeastern Thailand travels to Bangkok in hopes of raising the money to care for her ailing grandmother, her breaking of the witch's sacred code soon leads to disaster in this frightful tale of magic from director Paul Spurrier. Dau is a young Thai/Khmer girl who studies magic in the remote forest hut where she lives with her ailing grandmother. In addition to learning the spells that will ward off evil spirits, grace her with good luck, maintain her beauty, and clear her path of rivals, Dau also learns that there are three important rules by which a witch must always abide: never eat raw meat, never pass under a clothesline, and never charge a fee for teaching magic. If these rules are ever broken, a bloodthirsty evil known as the "Phii Borb" will grow within the witch and eventually burst from her body to search for human flesh. When Dau's grandmother falls ill and the young girl is forced to travel to Bangkok and earn the money that will keep her elder in good health, she soon falls under the spell of city life and begins to misuse her powers. Soon the three rules are broken, and from Dau's body emerges an otherworldly abomination that fast takes to the streets to satisfy its horrific appetite. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

This first feature by Paul Spurrier is about a fifteen-year-old drug dealer named Rat who thinks of his nocturnal world of drugs and fast living as a heaven on earth until he finds himself on the run from older and far more serious criminals. The film follows Rat as he looks for shelter with those he thinks he can trust. Underground shows the seamier side of London not found in tourist brochures. ~ Gönül Dönmez-Colin, Rovi

The plot of this of this adaptation of the Daniel Carney's novel, sprinkled throughout a series of extended Sam Peckinpah-inspired action sequences, deals with a collection of mercenary toughguys -- Colonel Allen Faulkner (Richard Burton), Lieutenant Shawn Fynn (Roger Moore), Rafer Janders (Richard Harris), Pieter Coetzee (Hardy Kruger) -- who are hired to parachute into the African bush country and abscond with deposed African president Julius Limbani (Winston Ntshona) and reinstall him as a reigning monarch of an African country, to satisfy British mercantile interests. The action sequences were successful enough to spawn a sequel -- appropriately titled Wild Geese II. ~ Paul Brenner, Rovi
